Branch Chain Amino Acid (BCAAs); The Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine
Branch Chain Amino Acids also known as (BCAAs) are indispensable amino acids whose carbon structures are marked at branched points. They are contained mainly in protein rich foods and make up three out of the eight essential amino acids; Valine, Isoleucine and Leucine. The BCAAs; leucine, Isoleucine and Valine, make up about 1/3 of the muscle protein. They stimulate the protein muscle building and possibly reduce muscle breakdown. BCAAs also play a vital role to prevent faulty message transmission in the brain cells.
Leucine is a hydrophobic amino acid that is found as a structural element on the interior of proteins and enzymes. It provides ingredients for the manufacturing of essential biochemical components in the body, which can be utilized for the energy production and as a stimulant of the upper brain to enable you to become more alert.
Isoleucine is an associate of the aliphatic amino acid family, which is composed of exceptional hydrophobic biochemical. It is found particularly in the interior parts of the proteins and enzymes. Isoleucine plays an essential role in the generation and preservation of muscle tissue by supporting protein synthesis in the muscle and liver. It also regulates the energy supply to the body during a workout and helps in the synthesis of glucose as well as blocking the breakdown of muscle tissues.
Valine is also an aliphatic amino acid, which is closely related to Isoleucine and Leucine, both in function and structure. It is extremely hydrophobic and is found in the interior of the protein. Valine is essential in the biosynthesis of protein and proper conversion of food into energy. In fact, it is an important muscle nutrient which can be used by bodybuilders.
